Business and Finance Manager

Kirsty Turner

My role has changed hugely over my 18 years with BJCC.  I originally joined in a part time, junior finance role and have progressed to my current position.  I now spend much more time within ACH and with the residents, many of whom I know very well.  I have also trained as a care assistant so that I can effectively work with the care team and help out whenever the need arises.  This was particularly useful during the pandemic when everyone had to get involved to ensure that the health and welfare of all our residents was maintained.

My key role is within the Finance Department ensuring the continued viability of the charity as a whole.

Chinwe is team-focused, family-oriented, and keen on agile strategic solutions for achieving dynamic organizational objectives.

Deputy Manager

Angelica Birtas (Angie)

I love doing my walkaround in Andrew Cohen House and having the chance to chat with residents.

In this job you need to be a good listener, approachable and with a calm head. It helps that I’ve also worked as a Deputy Home Manager for a big care provider in West Sussex. And prior to that I was a Home Manager to a learning disability setting.

I wanted to join Andrew Cohen House because the home looks very homely, the staff are very friendly, and I can see a big family here at Andrew Cohen House.

In my spare time I love to travel with my family. I like to go walking, going to the sea side – it helps me to unwind – and I enjoy playing badminton and watching a good film.

I’m looking forward to working with the team to ensure that Andrew Cohen House residents get the best possible care and enjoy fulfilling lives in our care home.

Clinical lead Nurse

Gowthami Ranganathan

Gowthami qualified as a Registered General Nurse in 1998 in India.  She worked for approximately 4 years in intensive care before embarking on a move to the United Kingdom where she settled with her family.

Prior to moving to Andrew Cohen House in 2016, she worked in Care Homes within the locality and enjoys working with Older adults.  She is a senior member of the nursing team, taking responsibility for medication management.
